Supporting The Little Fish

In an ocean of competitors filled with whales and sharks, running a small business can often feel like you're a little flounder fish just waiting to be eaten. You're competing against whole teams of people with what seems like unlimited advertising budgets. Billboards, radio, internet, TV, flyers, celebrity endorsements, physical mail, email, and Facebook are all extremely expensive, and the big companies use that to their advantage. They flood the market, making waves that can drown out us little fish (I know fish don't typically drown, but stick with me here).

However, the one thing an excellent small business has going for them is the personal connection they can have with the local community. If us little guys are indeed in the market to serve rather than to sell, then people can see through the fog and still find us. Thanks to organizations like the Standard-Examiner, which provide a platform like the "Best Of" competition each year, the flounder can compete fairly with the whales.

Over the past 13 years, you've supported our little company and consistently voted Pure Hearing one of your favorites. In fact, you've voted us number one for many years in a row, and I can't thank you enough! So, this year we ask you to help us again by voting in the "2023 Best-Of Davis County." Our ability to post that winning badge of honor helps others like yourself know safe and trustworthy schools of fish to swim with (are you sick of the fish metaphor yet?).

Thanks for choosing to swim with us over the past thirteen years!
