Bacon Is Delicious - Merry Christmas

Truth is not relative. It does not change based on where you are from or what your opinion is. Truth laughs at the consensus of the human population. It is not concerned with what the majority or the minority thinks. It just is, and that is all it ever has to be. It does not justify or rationalize to make us feel better. Truth is the rock that never changes, and the more we anchor our lives in cold hard facts, the more stable, wise, and happy we will be. Here are some examples: For centuries, humans thought the world was flat and that the Sun revolved around the earth. We were so sure we were right that we killed anyone that said we were wrong. We also thought that the misalignment of the stars or poison in the water caused the Black Plague. The truth was bacteria, and once we understood that fact, we could protect ourselves.

Some truths are easy to see; for example, gravity. Gravity is obviously true; no matter what we think, believe, or wish, we will fall if we step off a cliff. Other truths can't always be seen (just like we couldn't see the bacteria before the microscope), but it does not make those truths any less accurate. So, we can all agree that truths in the universe do not change and that the more truth we know and understand, the happier and more successful we will be. We can also agree that just because we can't see or fully understand a truth doesn't make it any less true. Many truths in life can be felt but not seen. For example, when we help someone in need, we get a warm feeling confirming we did the right thing. Often our gut (or our feelings) are better at finding truths than our eyes. So when in doubt, trust your gut! Can I share a couple of truths my gut has taught me? Bacon is delicious, and Christ lives. Merry Christmas. I hope this season finds you and yours healthy, happy and making and sharing the best memories!
