Since Phonak and Unitron are both owned by Sonova they share many of the same great features. If you are looking for true hands free calling with Android and iPhones, excellent sound processing, and long battery life with a budget friendly price tag, Unitron is the perfect solution. Get the 9s if you can afford them, but if you are on a tighter budget, the lower levels (7s, 5s, 3s) offer incredible value with excellent sound quality.

AutoFocus 360

• Unitron's AutoFocus 360 is a feature that helps hearing aid wearers better understand speech in challenging listening environments. It uses a network of four microphones to determine where speech is coming from and then alters the amplification in each ear to maximize speech understanding. AutoFocus 360 also employs dynamic noise reduction to reduce distracting background noise, making it easier to engage in face-to-face conversations.

Conversation in a crowd (Auto Program)

• Unitron's conversation in a crowd program is a feature that helps hearing aid users understand speech in noisy environments, such as crowded restaurants or parties. The program uses advanced signal processing algorithms to identify and focus on the sounds of the person speaking directly to the hearing aid user, while reducing the background noise. This program is activated automatically when the hearing aids sense a conversation with a large group.

How does the remote fitting work for Unitron?

Unitron’s software allows for remote fine tuning with limited functionality.

1. Purchase the hearing aids.

2. Unitron Hearing Aids REQUIRE a hearing test before we can ship them.

3. Send us your hearing test and we will pre-program the hearing aids.

4. We can fine tune your hearing aids remotely after you receive them.

5. We provide ongoing support via video, phone, text, and email.

Unitron’s remote adjustments are sent to your hearing aids via an app on your phone. It works really well for most adjustments but does not provide the full “in-office-like” video sessions offered by Phonak and ReSound.
