We Are All Simba

Trying to keep us cultured, my wife got tickets to a Broadway show at the Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City. You can guess which Broadway show it was by the title of my column. I was skeptical that the investment would be worth the reward, but I was pleasantly surprised. The show was great, and the costumes were terrific. Believe it or not, it drew a tear or two (I mean, dust got in my eye). As I was watching the show, I realized why this show is so popular worldwide. It teaches a truth that rings true in our souls whether we know it or not. Every single one of us is Simba. We are all sons or daughters of the greatest king. Our potential is unlimited, and we are all destined for greatness as long as we can remember who we truly are. Every single one of us gets lost, makes mistakes, and forgets. The Scars of the world teach us we can’t come back, that we are too far gone, but the truth rings in our hearts that there is a way. Our father, the king of the universe, will welcome us back with open arms as he helps restore us to the glory he intends for us. So this year, as we put away the Halloween costumes, maybe we should put away the costumes the world has painted on us and remember, in our hearts, we are all mighty, roaring lions destined to be kings and Queens in a kingdom so great, we can’t even imagine it!

While we are still in this kingdom, if you can’t hear the roaring lions quite as well, we are here to help! Text, call, email, drop in, or schedule an appointment for a free hearing exam or consultation.
